Dogs are welcome to stay in one of our specified pet friendly rooms at the Inn at Nakoma. The pet fee is $50/night up to a maximum of $125 per stay. Service Animals are permitted pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and there is no fee for service dogs. Under the ADA, a Service Animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The ADA requires that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times.

HIKING in the lost sierra

Fido likes to have fun, and right at Nakoma there are several miles of hiking trails to sniff and explore. Please pick up after your best friend as well as be in control of him or her on the trails, as deer chasing and romping on the golf course is always ends up with the words “bad dog!” To have more freedom to run, the surrounding Plumas National Forest has vast amounts of space for Fido to fly free and even swim in dozens of lakes. Just make sure everyone’s paws are clean when you get back to your room!
The general Lodging Policy at the Inn at Nakoma is for all behavior to be considerate of other guests in the hotel at all times, particularly between the hours of 10pm and 8am, the designated quiet time. The following specific policies are intended to ensure appropriate guest behavior. However, any behavior that is inconsiderate of other guests or hotel staff or that endangers other guests or hotel staff is prohibited and can result in cancellation of the offending guest(s)’ reservation.
