Nakoma’s Clubhouse, the centerpiece for which the resort was named, provides the heartbeat for the resort and the surrounding community. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Clubhouse to embody connection — with the land, with the trees and with the mountain air — and it is a connection that reverberates from this heart center.
The stunning Wigwam Dining Room, with its four-sided fireplace and impressive towering ceiling, creates a surprisingly cozy atmosphere, whether you’re sharing an intimate glass of wine with your sweetheart or celebrating with a dozen of your closest family and friends over a delicious meal. Explore a little further and you’ll find the tranquil and private lower level of the Clubhouse, home to Nakoma Spa. From the moment you enter this peaceful and luxurious space, the tension and concerns of the outside world begin to melt away.
More modest in size yet equally appealing and suited to relaxing with family and friends is the Wigwam Bar. In its welcoming and casual atmosphere, you can enjoy drinks or a meal any time of the day. On warm summer days and evenings, you’ll find yourself wandering just a few steps outside to the Sky Deck, where your meal is served against the backdrop of the majestic Sierra Nevada range. Finally, the Clubhouse is also home to our well-stocked Golf Shop/Winter Activity Center, where you’ll find everything you need to enjoy golf in the summer and snowshoeing and tubing in the winter.
