The centerpiece of Nakoma Resort is its iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Clubhouse. Reaching to the heavens with the surrounding pines, this mountain masterpiece is the social heart of Nakoma and is home to the Wigwam Room restaurant, Flow Bar & Lounge, Spa with pool and fitness facilities, Golf Shop and Winter Activities Center.
In 1923, Frank Lloyd Wright conceived Nakoma’s stunning clubhouse design, which was brought to life in 2001 at Nakoma Resort in the heart of the Lost Sierra. A spectacular golf course, a Spa with all the modern amenities and villas that are now the Residence Club at Nakoma quickly followed, delighting guests and homeowners alike.
While grounded in history, at Nakoma we embrace change. We recently added a fabulous new 42-room mountain modern Lodge at Nakoma for resort guests.
This year we will be unveiling the Altitude Recreation Center, a 12,000-plus-square-foot facility that will engage and entertain in equal measure. A weight room, sauna, steam showers, climbing wall, lap pools and tennis courts are just some of amenities that will welcome members, owners and guests late-September.
For those with more permanent designs on their Sierra escape, Nakoma offers Ascend Residences. The architecturally stunning, predesigned modern homes are surrounded by pine forest and have golf course views.
We know our visitors lead busy lives, and since they have so much to do we are adding the MarketPlace, a market and café adjacent to the Lodge, offering casual dining and food to go.
As if the stunning Lost Sierra was not enough, Nakoma surprises all who come. Pristine lodging, a beautiful golf course, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and hospitality that reminds you that it’s different up here.
